XSRE Flash Sale

Welcome to accessory heaven. Have you ever had an event to go to and needed to find the perfect set of bangles, necklace, or earrings to really make your outfit?! I don't even know why I asked because I  know the answer to that is yes. Usually shopping for the perfect accessory is a hassle but not anymore.

XSRE is a THE store with everything you need in one stop. Literally everything...I'm not exaggerating. When you first woke in the store your hit with the glitz and glamour and everything in between. Now for the fun part...I was sitting home editing some pictures when I got a flash email from XSRE for 75% off everything in the store!

Cue my thoughts....75% off...I should stay home, I don't really need anything....but 75% off everything...everything???? Can I make it before 7? Well needless to say I threw on a dress, fluffed my hair out and drove to the store as fast as I could.

I arrived there around 6:27 and knew I did not have much time to browse around. I was a woman on a mission. Buy everything I could!

Ok I may have overdone it but 75%?! Come on! Deals like this do not happen everyday.

I filled up my basket and needed to do another run around the store just to be sure I didn't miss anything I would regret. Looking down at my watch I only had 7 minutes to do so before the 7:00 deadline so my heart was racing. I'm not sure if you remember the supermarket game show where the contestants would run through the aisle grabbing anything and everything they wanted and whatever they got to the finish before time ended they got to keep for free? Well that's exactly how I felt running through the aisle because 75% off is just about as close to free as I'm going to find!

The sales associates in the store were amazing! Usually I like to shop in peace and ignore everyone but they were all so friendly and helpful I couldn't help but stop and chat.  They definitely handled the flash sale and craziness of 75% off very well.

 

After all was said and done I saved over $500!! BANANAS!

Even as I'm sitting here writing this I'm regretting not purchasing more. So keep your fingers crossed and let XSRE know on their facebook that you want another 75% off flash sale! Also be sure to sign up for their emails so you can stay up to date with any news and contests going on there (of course I'll remind you)!

Update - Heels at Home – Try on Program

So a few days ago I told you all about the new program called Heels at Home* from Heels.com. (see post here http://candycoatedclosets.wordpress.com/2013/07/16/heels-at-home/)

Well I tried it so I wanted to give you an update and a few pictures.

Once I received the shoes, I got an email from Heels.com letting me know they were delivered and telling me the exact date I had to return any unwanted shoes by before being charged. They give you a full 5 business days try on period.

Over the next 3 days, I received about 4 different email remainders of my return date for the unwanted shoes before I would get charged. Seriously...they did not play around with making me aware of the date which is great!

Once I decided on what didn't work for me, I packed up the shoes, used the free shipping label heels.com provided for me and scheduled a fedex pickup and the shoes were on their way back! It's that easy! I didn't have to waste time/gas going to the store, spend hours waiting on line, or spend waste my time staring at a shoe online wondering if it would look right on me but not wanting to take the chance.

This is definitely something I'll be using more in the future because it's convenient, no hassle and FREE!

"I don't wanna grow up" are the words I screamed when I decided to go down the slide in 5 inch heels! Yes it was very crazy but I will admit I couldn't stop laughing at the end of this shoot!

Luichiny Shoes

"From our heart to your sole" is right! Luichiny has made a new mark in my closet and dent in my wallet but they are SO worth it. First up is the Where N when Leopard Pump!

 

Beyond fierce!!!! Honestly when I first received them I thought they may have been a little too over the top but that's just what they are...fab and fierce. Perfect for a hot covered leopard heel.

• 6 inch stiletto heel
• 2 inch platform
• Runs true to size

I know the idea of a 6 inch heel with a 2 inch platform may seem impossible to some ladies but believe me when I tell you these have been some of the most comfortable heels that I have ever walked in...and I've walked in my share of heels.

Next is the Luichiny Cara Platform Sandal!

When the shoe fits buy it in every color right? Well I surely live my life by that motto! After getting the Cara's in the black floral print I had to order the nude version. It's beyond perfect. The colors are so on trend and versatile that they can be paired with just about anything.

Next are the Luichiny Xtra Special Platform Pump. These are about two weeks old in my closet and I wanted to give you all a chance to see them on.

They are a gorgeous suede vibrant red. You can put it on by the buckle around the ankle or use the zipper in the back.

• Back zipper
• Almond toe
• 2" platform, 5½" covered heel
• Synthetic sole
• Run true to size

My favorite thing about this brand is that they put a heart on the bottom of their shoes! Everytime I see them I remember that I'm walking with love!

Mojo Moxy Pumps

You know there's just certain brands that you just can't get enough of? Well for me Mojo Moxy is definitely one of those brands.

First up is the Mojo Moxy Bettie Pump!

When I first saw them they immediately reminded me of the Mojo Moxy Buffy Mary Jane's that were a big hit! The Bettie's are a great retro, flirty pump that can give an outfit a sexy feminine twist without being too over the top.

• Run true to size.
• a 4 inch covered heel with minimum platform.
• There is a light cushioning in the insole.

The details of the scalloping, the bow and the laser cut outs really give this pump something extra that can be added to any dress or pair of jeans. So far I've only seen it come in Black and Taupe (more like a creme in your coffee color).

Next, is the Mojo Moxy Draper Pump!

I couldn't help but throw on my ipod and blast "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson when I put these pumps on! The Draper's are a great example of the new menswear trend that's huge in the industry right now. Mojo Moxy really hit this one out of the park with the two tone color blocking and  T-strap.

• Run true to size but I would recommend going up .5 a size if you can.
• Leather and patent leather mix.
• a 4 inch covered heel with minimum platform.
• There is a light cushioning in the insole.

Lastly, the Mojo Moxy Bella!

Oh my goodness! I cannot begin to describe these. By far these have got to be my favorite pair from my order. The color is gorgeous and they are so easy to walk in.

• Run true to size.
• Leather upper.
• a 5 inch covered heel with 1 inch platform.
• There is a light cushioning in the insole.
• Bow detail.

So out of all 3 styles I definitely recommend adding them to your collection! Timeless style for every shoe lover.

Mac Cosmetics Sunset Blend

I recently fell into the make up world and I couldn't believe how much fun I've been missing out on.

Yesterday I decided to play around with some of the colors I have laying around and I loved the outcome. I call this my sunset kiss (it almost reminds me of a gorgeous sunset)

      

First, I covered my entire lip with Mac Cremesheen Creme in your coffee

Second, I decided to line and fill half of my lips with Mac Magenta lipliner.

Lastly, I tapped the outer portions of my lips with Mac Heaux by Rihanna.

When I shoe shop I become one with the shoes, so much so that it has taken on a life of its own. I like to feel the arch of the heels, touch the material, smell the leather - yes i said smell the leather :) and try on the shoes before I can commit to spending $30-$300 on a pair. • Step 3 - Try them on at home! Yes put them on, make sure they fit, get a good feel for them (I highly recommend trying them on a carpet at home)
• Step 4 - Keep the ones you love and only get charged for those that you keep!
• Step 5 - Send the ones you didn't like back to heels.com. They provide you with a free Fedex label as well. You have 5 business days to send the ones you don't like back!

I am in love love love with this new program! I know all too well the dilemma of falling in love with a shoe online and debating whether or not to order because of the 1,001 questions. Oh will this fit me? Are my feet too fat for those heels? Is there enough arch support? Do I have a pair similar to these? Do I REALLYYYY need new shoes? Well ok I don't know how often I really ask myself that last question.

Most of the time when I'm plagued by all of these questions I don't even bother ordering the shoes because I don't even want to deal with the hassle of returning them. Problem. Solved.
